Trail Description:

Planned for completion during the spring of 2005, the Glenurquart trails near Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness side take Forestry Commission mountain biking to a new level.  Focussing on free-ride style riding, there will be a lot of burly features round a short loop.  Starting on skinny, high wooden trails (with an easier contour option) the trail offers many options depending on riding skill or style.  Swoopy natural trails, flicky jumps, bermed and open corners lead into a massive fun box, with stip up, manual, wall ride and hip jump options, it should be a good 'free' ride feature.  A big 20 foot long, 10 foot double gaps across an uphill climb.  Trails then run along the hill side incorporating a flowing spine, wide fast hip jump, wooden features, before compoing up to a wooden helix hamster wheel thing. Which is nice.

Also in the area is an advanced trails area and a beginners skills trail, to allow novices develop the skills needed to progress.
